Baby Boomers are now in their mid 60’s and about to face the problems that come with aging, including disease, depression, falls, abuse, and dementia. They also have to deal with caring for aging parents, and financial exploitation contributing to more stress and difficulties as they get older. Today polypharmacy is a issue with the elderly being over prescribed drugs from many doctors who are not communicating with each other, leading to deadly drug interactions.

The Future Of Stem Cell Treatment

A problem with stem cell research is keeping embryonic stem cells from differentiating instead of remaining stem cells. Stem cells also have limited availability because they are stored in private blood banks. Researchers can control cells from peoples bodies to a limited extent, providing the cells needed for treatment. This process is still in the beginning stages, but future predictions are that a swab from the inside of ones cheek would be all that is required from a patient.
